There is a Trojan pretending to be an upgrade from TweetDeck Twitter Site
In yesterday issued a warning TweetDeck respect to a computer Trojan to spread social networks as a client update to Twitter. A Trojan is a malicious code, like the legend of the Trojan horse, disguised as something harmless when in fact it is a threat. In the context of several third party applications with performance problems due to some changes by Twitter, TweetDeck had announced they would release an update, and created this fake file attackers to infect users.
The file, named "tweetdeck-08302010-update.exe" locked in under the domain URLs alturl.com, and is spread through Twitter messages with messages in English accompany the link such as "Tweetie work until tomorrow, update now!", "Download the update TweetDeck asap!" or "Hurry to download the update from TweetDeck!" among others. The alert TweetDeck people was clear: "The tweets are hacked account and that file does not come from us, do not download."
As we remember the support team, updates must be downloaded from the official website of TweetDeck, and this is a good practice that should have when users click on links or download applications, check to be downloaded from the official websites of the manufacturers. It is one of the most important practices to avoid being a victim of the Trojans, the costumes that they use can be very attractive, and the user should be aware.
